Military Family Support
The Military-Civilian Charitable Foundation connects the Military-Civilian Club membership to groups who give direct support and services to military and veterans’ families. The contributions that club members provide give swift and meaningful assistance in a variety of programs. Through close contact with the military services and veterans’ networks, MCCF helps military and veteran organizations with their specific needs.
During the club year 2024 – 2025, MCCF granted over $41,827 to 16 organizations with impactful community programs:
Fisher House, INC. –MCCF donation of gift cards provided support to military members and families staying in Fisher Houses.
Children’s Association for Maximum Potential Funding supports camp attendance for military dependents with disabilities.
San Antonio Food Bank – MCCF provided support to help alleviate the severe demand for services. The donation was earmarked for military and veterans’ families.
Warrior Family Fund –MCCF provided grants for the JBSA Fort Sam Houston and JBSA Lackland Exceptional Family Member Programs (special needs children and their families).
Soldiers’ Angels – Grant to assist with food, transportation, and household items to homeless veterans.
Military Child Education Coalition: MCCF ‘s grant provided support to the citywide Student 2 Student programs in 30+ schools in the San Antonio area.
Operation Homefront: Back to School Brigade grant to provide support to citywide programs in the San Antonio area.
Family Service –MCCF provided grant support to Strong Families, Strong Forces programs specific to military families. Family Service: empowering individuals and families transform their lives and strengthen their communities.
Wish for Our Heroes – dedicated to providing resources to the “average” active-duty military member, in order to make their deployments a little easier, and to improve the quality of their family lives while home or during deployment.
GRASP (Greater Randolph Area Services Program) –MCCF Grant assisted GRASP in their efforts to provide military members and veterans social services, food, rent, and support.
Randolph Field Educational Foundation: Provided funds to assist with grants for student and faculty to enhance the curriculum.
South Texas Veterans Healthcare System – Provided gift cards.
En-Corps Veteran’s Band-provides an opportunity for veterans to learn an instrument or refresh previous playing skills and build community with other veterans.
Five and Thrive – builds resilience in military families in five key areas: childcare, education, healthcare, housing, and spousal employment.
San Antonio Botanical Gardens – Summer camp experience for military children and youth. Campers, from ages five to high school seniors, will delve into the world of plants through
engaging activities, interactive games, creative recipes, and exciting experiments that are age appropriate and designed to inspire learning, build confidence, and spark a lifelong love of nature.
